Here's a hand where usually the gut reaction is to check the flop after nailing it, but these players know me and I know that they would expect that if I had an A I WOULDN'T bet the flop, so betting makes it look like I have a K or a complete bluff - so I know I'm more likely to induce a large bluff from them if I bet. It's not very risky to play it this way because AAK is a pretty dry flop for almost all hands that would've limped, and I'm not going to get paid very much UNLESS I can get them to bluff it off.

For sure I'm not worried about a better A or KK after it limped to me pre, so I'm just hoping is not A5 or A7. As it turns out, as anticipated, he read my flop bet as a bluff and bet off his whole stack trying to make me believe he had an A.

I snap the river, and he says, "aiiiyahhh," and mucks his hand without showing.
