Only playing online poker during pandemic. Had some good results, but lately it's just been a bunch of this shit. Totally happy with how I played the hand, given what I know about this opponent. His preflop range is wide open, he's very sticky, so while I knew he wouldn't fold anything that had me beat, I also knew he would call with all kinds of hands like this one, or even just bare overcards. Just calling here was going to be a big mistake, as any overcard on the turn could make his hand. He would play 98o the same way up until he called my shove. So, no turn card is necessarily going to be safe for me.
